A mixed use regeneration project in Partnership with Tower Hamlets Community Housing.

Selected as Preferred Partner by Tower Hamlets Community Housing and London Borough of Tower Hamlets Regeneration Team in open competition after providing three separate innovative designs, one of which was provided by John Thompson Associates. The sale of the private housing units generates a cross subsidy used to fund the development of the social housing element.

The project consists of 4 towers, 3 of which are 6, 7 and 9 storey concrete frame structures with a combination of metsec sto render, metal cladding and cedar cladding treatments to the façade. The fourth tower is of traditional brick and block construction.

The scheme provides:

  • 97 Flats for Sale
  •  24 Flats for Rent for the Elderly
  • Full Refurbishment to 38 Flats for the Elderly
  • A Secure Private Courtyard for the Elderly
  • A New Doctors Surgery to the ground floor
  • New Open/Playground Space for Public Use
  • Car Parking Spaces
  • The possibility of the Provision of a New Community Centre
  • New Lift Access to existing dwellings
  • Imaginative use of Railway Arches

The scheme was completed in September 2006.
