  • Description2

We worked in partnership with Hyde Northside Homes, Faithorn Farrell Timms and BPTW Architects through the stock transfer of 653 homes to complete the regeneration of both estates.

The works included:

  • New kitchens and bathrooms
  • Upgrading of internal services
  • New heating
  • External repairs to building fabrics
  • New refuse arrangements
  • Incorporation of new security door entry systems
  • Extensive environmental improvements
  • New pitched roofs
  • New build on infill sites
  • Window replacement
  • Overhaul of estate lighting and drainage

To allow the new pitched roofs to be added to the existing structure an intensive design period which considered detailed structural & thermal imaging surveys was carried out to ensure bespoke methods of work to facilitate the process.

The works were successfully completed while the residents remained in occupation. A key feature of this success was enabled by maintaining a consistent expert delivery team throughout the process which allowed for continuity of knowledge.

Works commenced on site in January 2005 and were completed in August 2007, 4 months ahead of contract programme.
