Maintenance services:
responding when we are needed

Rydon first began providing maintenance services to the social housing sector in 2001, when we signed a contract with High Weald Housing Association to maintain 6,000 properties in the Tunbridge Wells area. Since then, we have established a strong reputation as a provider of maintenance services to social housing landlords throughout London and the south east of England and we currently maintain over 40,000 properties.

Our areas of operation include reactive breakdown response, planned preventative maintenance, 24-hour on-call breakdown service, alterations, adaptations and small works and lifecycle works. We operate under a variety of formal terms of agreement, including bespoke partnering agreements, schedules of rates, by time and materials or on a quotation basis.

Rydon have worked with the Considerate Constructors Scheme on Company Registration since its inception in 2009 and are founding members of the scheme. The aim of Company Registration is to bring low value short duration works into the Scheme which looks to improve the image of construction by encouraging good communication with neighbours and the general public, improved welfare facilities and greater environmental awareness. All registered companies have to comply with the Company Code of Practice and follow all the basic requirements. Our Maintenance division has the registration number 00001, which is recognition of our long-standing commitment to working hand in hand with the CCS in the development of the scheme, and building strong relationships with the communities in which we work.

The Company Registration recently celebrated its first National Company Awards where the very highest performing registered companies were recognised for their contribution to improving the image of construction. Rydon won two Bronze, a Gold and the prestigious Most Considerate Company 2011 Award.
