The environment: 
 always considering our impact

As an organisation, we are constantly aware of our impact on the environment. This embraces protecting and improving the natural environment, sourcing our materials and equipment responsibly, minimising the waste produced by our activities and managing it in a sensitive manner. Our work with the WRAP and Envirowise organizations helps to minimise our consumption of energy and water and maximize our recycling.

We are a founder member of One Planet Products, an independent organisation set up by the sustainability charity, BioRegional, to help its members to purchase and specify green construction products and services easily and affordably and build their knowledge of sustainability.

Rydon registers all projects under the nationally recognised Considerate Constructors' scheme, whose code of practice includes environmental matters. In order to comply with this, we conduct project specific reviews and assessments for each scheme and report on opportunities to protect and/or improve nature conservation and biodiversity, air quality, noise and vibration, soil and water quality and heritage and archaeology.
