Rydon Maintenance has joined up with Islington based decorating firm K&M Decorating Ltd to renovate local homes, as part of the iCAM Supply scheme.

Set up by the Islington Borough Council, the iCAM Supply scheme helps local companies and organisations benefit from opportunities created by major developments taking place in Camden and Islington.

Rydon Maintenance is one of the four companies involved in Partners for Improvement in Islington, an organisation that works in partnership with the London Borough of Islington to improve and manage council-owned property in the area.

Some of the first properties to be redecorated by K&M Decorating Ltd are located within Queen Margaret Grove.

Glenroy Anderson, iCAM Supply Project Director, comments, "We are heartened to know that Rydon Maintenance is actively considering using local Islington companies as subcontractors, and look forward to more good news about local supply chain awards in the future".

Clifford Yeend, Rydon Maintenance Contracts Manager, adds, "There are many practical benefits of working with local companies, and we are delighted that Islington has a great local network that we can tap in to. All elements of the regeneration process are aimed at improving the local community, and working with local businesses contributes to this.
