Case Study:
Photovoltaic cells to provide free power to a
 23-storey tower block

Refurbishment - Ferrier Point, Canning Town

One of our current schemes is Ferrier Point, an £8.5 million refurbishment of a 23-storey Tower block in Canning Town.

By incorporating renewable technology, the sustainability of the refurbishment scheme is accomplished, using 375m2 of photovoltaic cells to provide free power to the building. Approximately 50% of the south facade of the building is covered in the electricity generating cells, with the renewable energy source generating power for the building's communal electrical supply.

We have also installed solar and photovoltaic panels at many of our sites including Cadiz Court, Dagenham where the design incorporated 10% renewable technologies via the panels being placed on the roof of the new structures and orientated South facing to provide the highest level of efficiency
