Governance

CSR within Rydon is spearheaded by the CSR Leadership Committee which is chaired by the Group Chief Executive and has director level representation from across the whole organisation.

The CSR Leadership Committee is supported by a number of working groups. Each operating company has a CSR champion who leads a working group within his operation. There is also a working group headed by the Group director of SHE, HR and Office Services which focuses on employee and office related CSR programmes and initiatives.

The working groups meet quarterly with the objective of:

  • Reviewing KPI performance for the period
  • Ensuring CSR reporting is functioning
  • Identifying areas that require improvement
  • Recommending and designating responsibilities for improvements
  • Reviewing policy requirements
  • Identifying case study opportunities
  • Developing and approving case studies
  • Generating new ideas and initiatives

The CSR Leadership Committee meets twice yearly to:

  • Review Group progress (reported from working groups)
  • Agree and formalise new policies or policy changes as required
  • Approve new initiatives
  • Establish and approve budgets if required
  • Agree and approve reports and statements

CSR has made significant strides within Rydon over the past three years and is now an integral part of our working practices.
