Health & Safety

Health and Safety is paramount at Rydon, and we recognise that best performance does require planning ahead, the cooperative effort of all concerned and the deployment of appropriate experience, expertise and resources.

Health & Safety relates not only to the protection of our own staff and those of the sub-contractors working on our sites but also to the general public and any one coming into contact with our business activities.

Each Group Company has an appointed director responsible for H&S, and these directors meet quarterly to review performance and champion best practice. In addition, the Group has a Safety Committee, made up of staff and management, which meets and reports on a six monthly basis.

All sites receive at least five inspection visits per quarter and we have put into place a performance assessment process that enables us to track each site over time and to compare the relative performance of one site against the other.

As a group we are pleased with our good record on Health & Safety, but continue to regard any reportable incident as one too many.
