Rydon has been confirmed as a principal supply chain member on the new ProCure21+ framework as part of the Healthcare Partnership Solutions consortium.
ProCure21+ is a capital works framework for the NHS with a most recently estimated value of around £2 billion over six years. Only six organisations have been selected for the framework, which covers the whole of England.
The Healthcare Partnership Solutions consortium is led by Miller, in partnership with Guildhouse UK, a leading property development and investment company, and Community Ventures (Management) Ltd, a development services and investment company specialising in health and social care.
The framework, endorsed by the Department of Health, ensures that the successful companies are best positioned to be able to compete for whatever capital schemes emerge following the spending review in October. Unsurprisingly, competition to get onto the framework was fierce, with companies like Laing O'Rourke, Bam and Midas not making the final selection, despite active participation in the original framework.
Rydon was selected by Healthcare Partnership Solutions, as one of a number of other regional and specialist contractors, to ensure that the consortium has the geographic presence and skill-set to deliver the broad range of schemes across the whole of the country that will be procured through the framework.
The framework, which replaces the previous ProCure21 framework, becomes operational on 14 September.
Note: Rydon and Miller are independent and separate companies and are working together on the Healthcare Partnership Solutions consortium under commercial arrangements.
