Mark joined Rydon as Construction Director in November 1999 having completed his studies at Sheffield City Polytechnic. He started his career as Planning Engineer at a contracting company, progressing over time through to construction management and onto the position of Construction Director at a major PLC developer. Mark has led the Regeneration business stream at Rydon and has also led on a number of initiatives linked to sustainability and employment for young people. Mark was promoted to the position of Managing Director in October 2010.
Simon has worked in the industry since 1975, starting as an indentured trade apprentice, developing through M&E installation & design, construction project management, contracts management, through to Construction Director. He is directly responsible for the management of the Healthcare and Education business stream, in addition to the responsibility of establishing and developing the Regional Office at Bristol. Simon is an advocate of delivering learning outcomes through construction / business activities. As a consequence of Rydon’s work with Wealden Skills Centre, he was invited to become a Governor of Uplands Community College, in East Sussex. Simon is a Member of the Association of Project Managers (MAPM).
Tim joined Rydon in October 1986 as an Assistant Estimator having completed his technical qualifications. His career at Rydon has seen promotions within the estimating department to his current position of Commercial Director where he is responsible for a pre-contract department of twelve staff.
Chris joined Rydon in 1984 after gaining experience with two other contracting companies. In his role as Surveying Director, he takes responsibility for the Group’s post contract commercial departments. Chirs has 35 yrs industry experience involving housing, development, construction, maintenance and refurbishment, across a broad range of procurement types and involving health, education, housing and cross subsidy development.
David qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1996. In 2002 he joined Rydon to become financial controller for the Contracting division, having already had 5 years experience working as the accountant for another main contractor. He was appointed company secretary in 2006.
David is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
