Alan Watson
Managing Director
Alan is Managing Director of Rydon Maintenance, a position he has held since he joined the company in 2001. Alan has almost thirty years of professional experience in the building services and maintenance industries.
Ian Watkinson
Contracts Director (Housing)
Ian’s career and experience has spanned some 40 years in the construction, refurbishment and maintenance industry starting from electrician and progressing to Divisional Manager and, more recently, to Director level. Ian joined Rydon in March 2002 to head up a new branch office. This led to his taking responsibility for all the division’s housing PFIs. Ian also leads on Corporate Social Responsibility within the Maintenance division. He joined the Board of Directors in November 2006.
Barrie Beckett
Contracts Director (Health)
Barrie joined Rydon Maintenance in August 2006 to manage the Healthcare business. He joined us with a wealth of experience built up in the maintenance industry over the past 30 years. He started his career as an electrician and has diversified along the way and worked in most disciplines associated with hard facilities management.
Kevan Burns
Company Secretary
Kevan joined Rydon in January 2005 as Finance Manager of the Maintenance division and was appointed Company Secretary of Rydon Maintenance Limited in 2006.
Having trained at Ernst & Young and obtaining his professional accounting qualification in South Africa, Kevan worked in various roles in the finance industry prior to arriving in the UK in 1997. Since then, Kevan has worked in the finance side of construction and civil engineering industry.
Jeff Henton
Refurbishment Director
Jeff has worked in the industry since 1978 and has been at Rydon since 1984. He has an in depth practical understanding of construction, having worked through all site disciplines to Contracts Manager, Construction Manager and presently Refurbishment Director.
He has considerable experience of refurbishment works both occupied and vacant across various sectors; including several stock transfers in Central London.
Jeff is an independent board member at Homes for Haringey (a London based ALMO)
Richard Beckwith
Commercial Director
Richard is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor by profession, graduating in 1976. He spent the early years of his career with John Laing Construction, Wates Construction and JM Jones before joining Rydon Construction in 1984 as a Senior Surveyor and progressing to Managing Surveyor in 1990.
Richard transferred to his current role in Rydon Maintenance in 1999. His specific responsibilities include providing a commercial management overview of all tendering and project and contractual obligations.
Richard holds a B Sc in Building Economics and is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
