The contract was amended to secure a fixed price lump sum contract for the Client.
The project provided a five classroom school with sports/assembly hall, associated parking/play facilities and extensive external works. Catering facilities and a caretakers flat were also provided.
Construction was generally traditional brick and block with pitched, tiled roofs. The sports hall consisted of a steel framed structure.
Funding for the new school was achieved through the disposal of its existing school site. Rydon Homes Limited purchased the existing site through a financial arrangement linked to the construction of the new school.
