Sadiq Khan MP visited Rydon’s regeneration of Green Man Lane in West Ealing on Friday 8 April to see the continued redevelopment of the former local authority estate, delivering hundreds of new homes for Londoners, in a joint venture with partner A2Dominion.
Rydon Construction’s Managing Director, Mark Mitchener, led the tour with the site and development teams as Sadiq saw the completed new homes and facilities of the first phase as well as phase 2, currently under construction.
The £166m project, designed by Conran and Partners, will deliver 770 new affordable and private sale homes, and reconnect the once cut-off Green Man Lane estate back with the wider community. It is spread over five-hectares of new parks, landscaped plazas and pedestrian tree-lined boulevards.
As well as a new primary school, which has recently started on site, the project also includes a new community café, sports facilities, meeting rooms, children’s play areas and on-street and secure underground parking are also part of the masterplan.
