Wadswick Green, the modern lifestyle village for the over 60s in Corsham, Wiltshire had good reason to celebrate as it hosted the topping off ceremony for its latest phase under construction by Rydon, Ash Lane. Joining the celebration on Wednesday 19 June 2019 was Steve Abbott, Chairman of Corsham Town Council.
Howard Nankivell, CEO at Rangeford Villages comments, “This beautiful retirement village in the heart of the Wiltshire countryside has a special place in our heart as it was Rangeford’s first development. We are thrilled to see the expansion of Wadswick Green coming on so well and are looking forward to unveiling the Ash Lane apartments, which are scheduled to be completed in Spring 2020.”
Paul Barber, South West Regional Director at Rydon, commented: “It has been a pleasure working with Rangeford Villages on another phase of the successful Wadswick Green development and being able to deliver more of these elegant and spacious homes in this stunning location. We are proud to be celebrating this delivery milestone and look forward to handing over this high-quality facility that we hope new residents will enjoy.”
In line with the Almond Close apartments currently available to purchase, the Ash Lane apartment feature spacious kitchens with engineered, high-quality hardwood flooring and the latest Neff appliances. The living rooms will offer a choice of wooden floors and boast large picture windows that lead onto walk-on balconies with stunning views.
The modern bathrooms have easily accessible walk-in-showers, with luxury taps and fittings. Thorough insulation will ensure peace and quiet and supports the energy efficient underfloor heating. Whilst wide entrances and lifts, as well as high-efficiency double-glazed windows, will provide a bright and friendly feel.
Set over 25 acres in the Wiltshire countryside, on the site of the former HMS Royal Arthur Naval College that Prince Philip attended, Wadswick Green is a modern village with ancient roots.
Once completed, residents will have access to the exclusive facilities including a resident’s only spa with swimming pool, Jacuzzi, sauna, steam room, a gym, and hair salon. In addition, the retirement village is home to the highly-rated Greenhouse Coffee Shop and Restaurant, which has proven popular with residents and the Wiltshire community alike.
To embrace the social aspect of community living, residents have also created regular social groups such as book clubs, crafting and walking groups.
Wadswick Green also arranges regular events, days out and offers a chauffeur service that provides lifts to Corsham and other nearby towns.
