Ahead of the final phases of Packington’s regeneration the last occupied flats have been vacated, a process that has been led in a considerate and professional way by Linda Padden and Rydon’s site team.

Linda and the site team have provided an outstanding level of support to residents during a time that can be an extreme upheaval for most people and particularly those who have lived in their Packington home for many years.

Across the first 4 phases of the project, Linda and the team successfully decanted 327 households including leaseholders and tenants who each needed consultation regarding their new home allocation, assistance with updating their addresses and utilities, organising the removals and coordinating logistics on ‘move day’.

There were a number of residents who were vulnerable, elderly or hard to reach and Rydon lent additional support to help them where necessary, for example helping to pack their belongings and move furniture.

We have since entered into the Phase 5 & 6 contracts and commenced demolition on both of these phases. These represent the final phases at Packington’s regeneration, which will conclude the delivery of nearly 800 new homes for social rent and private sale, a range of new community facilities and public open space in Islington.
