Packington’s Phase 4 regeneration in Islington has picked up the award for Most Innovative Regeneration Scheme at the 2017 Housing Innovation Awards.
The event was held at Grand Connaught Rooms, Covent Garden and is a celebration of pioneering spirit and innovation within the UK Housing sector.
Packington was among four shortlisted schemes for the competitive Most Innovative Regeneration Scheme category including:

The Packington Estate Regeneration Scheme is being delivered in a 50:50 joint venture partnership by Rydon and The Hyde Group, with the masterplan designed by Pollard Thomas Edwards architects.
The project has been carefully planned to reconnect the community with the surrounding area, provide new community spaces including a canal side park, community centre and adventure playground and has also introduced a number of innovative employment initiatives to boost the estate’s economic regeneration.
In January 2016, Packington was hailed as an exemplar of successful regeneration to “revive some of the most deprived estates” by the UK Government. Click here to read more.
