Working with the Considerate Constructors Scheme, the national Scheme designed to improve the image of construction, Rydon has been picked to pilot a new level of attainment to raise industry standards and collaboration amongst clients, contractors, subcontractors and suppliers.

The regeneration of Green Man Lane, Phase 2B, is currently the trial project for the initiative, led by Construction Manager Eddy Tipping.

The concept behind Ultra Site is that it will be awarded to those schemes that take considerate construction to the highest level, achieved by stipulating a number of suppliers and subcontractors engaged with a site are also to be registered with the Scheme.

Ultra Sites will receive regular monitoring and must commit to operating at the very highest standards across the Scheme’s Code of Considerate Practice.

Considerate Constructors Scheme Chief Executive Edward Hardy commented:

“We’re delighted to be an organisation spearheading greater collaboration across the industry. The construction industry is acutely aware of its need to work more closely together, and is increasingly realising the commercial, social and environmental benefits of greater integration. We’re really pleased that Rydon is part of the consortium piloting the programme. Ultra Sites are the next level of achieving even greater standards and collaboration across the entire industry.”
