This year’s Macmillan Coffee Morning at Rydon was a huge success, raising a staggering £2220 towards helping one of the UK’s biggest cancer charities change the lives of people affected by cancer.

Rydon offices and sites took part bringing in homemade cakes, biscuits and other treats to help raise money for this great cause. The Rydon sites and offices who took part this year were:

  • The Dartford Office, raising a brilliant £111 and in memory of friend and colleague Steve Ruff who passed away in August
  • Queen Elizabeth Hospital, raising £246.54 and with three contractors (Alandale Plant & Scaffolding, A&B Decorators and Accurate Roofing) from site agreeing to match this contribution the total raised was a fantastic £986.16
  • Ashmole Estate Site Office, raising a fantastic £368 in total with a generous contribution of £200 from Oakley Builders & Groundwork Contractors
  • Head Office in Forest Row, raising an impressive £683
  • Blackberry Hill Office in Bristol raisng £68

Coffee Morning is Macmillan's biggest fundraising event. The event has been running since 1990, raising funds to help provide medical, emotional, practical and financial support and to push for a better cancer care system.
