October 2016
A huge congratulations to Paul Smith, Dave Hughes, Ali Finer, Clare Sugden and Susan Lewis who took part in this year’s Palace to Place cycle ride on Sunday 2 October.
The team of five woke very early on Sunday morning and made their way to Buckingham Place to start the 45 mile ride through the Surrey countryside.
Everyone had a great day and crossed the finished line alongside Windsor Castle, raising fantastic £1225 for The Prince’s Trust, Rydon’s principal charity partner. There’s still time to add to this fantastic total, click here to visit the JustGiving page.
A big thank you must also go to Chris Snowsill and Rowan Baker who kindly gave up their Sunday to lend a hand taking the bikes and riders to and from the event. Also to Nexus Rental who provided vehicle hire.
Youth charity The Prince’s Trust helps disadvantaged young people to get their lives on track. It supports 13 to 30 year-olds who are unemployed and those struggling at school and at risk of exclusion.
The money raised has contributed to this year’s Million Pound Challenge, a landmark programme by the Trust targeting £1million of fundraising to help 1,000 more disadvantaged young people get into education, training or employment.
Launched in the Trust’s 40th year, it aims to raise these vital funds through Prince’s Trust key partners in the Built Environment sector, including Rydon.
