Rydon has successfully achieved certification to the ISO 45001 Occupational Health & Safety Management Standard, having undergone a rigorous two-phase auditing process in which the business demonstrated that it met the robust standards required.
Introduced in March 2018, ISO 45001 provides a single framework for organisations to proactively improve their occupational health and safety performance and supersedes the OHSAS 18001 standard.
The standard requires businesses to introduce a framework to help improve employee safety and reduce workplace risk. In order to be awarded the standard, applicants must be able to demonstrate that management systems are in place across the business which adequately assess, manage and mitigate against workplace risks.
Rydon is one of the first organisations in our industry to secure the certification, with just a handful of our companies having reached the new accreditation to date.
The certification covers Rydon Group and each of the operating companies and is a clear demonstration that Health & Safety is our number one priority and a positive endorsement of our management and control standards across the Group.
Well done to the Safety Team who has driven this process and secured this marker of excellence.
