Rydon has won a series of top national accolades across its Construction and Maintenance divisions from the Considerate Constructors Scheme, the independently run and assessed organisation that tracks standards of consideration towards construction neighbours, workforce, the general public and the environment.

The awards include a Gold Award and two Silver Awards from the recent National Site Awards as well as a record-breaking 46/50 score, on sites across the South East and the South West.

GOLD - Durand Close, Sutton

The Durand Close team secured the top prize of a Gold Award for their work to deliver the latest phase in this project providing over 500 homes across multiple sites in Sutton.

This regeneration scheme has won several awards from the Scheme previously and in a recent Monitor’s Site Report the assessor remarked upon the enthusiasm of the site team to achieve and maintain the highest level of compliance possible.

RECORD SCORE - North London Region

The Rydon – North London Region team, which delivers maintenance services to over 6,000 mainly Georgian and Victorian properties in Islington, set a new Rydon record of 46/50 during a monitor’s Company Site Report. It secured ‘exceptional’ 9/10 scores in each key area of Appearance, Environment, Safety and Workforce as well as an ‘innovative’ 10/10 for its work in the Community.

The assessor remarked on the exceptionally high standards of appearance for Rydon’s operatives, its vehicles and sites as well as describing Rydon’s consideration of resident’s needs and contribution to the local area as outstanding.  

SILVER - Mangotsfield Primary School, Bristol

The Rydon Mangotsfield Primary School site team in Bristol received a Silver Award for the project to deliver a two-storey extension to this school in Emerson’s Green on the eastern side of the city.
A recent Monitor’s Site Report praised the team’s efforts on environmental protection and in its engagement in education initiatives with the school’s children.

SILVER - Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Tower Hamlets

The site team at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital secured a Silver Award for the ongoing redevelopment of the former hospital site on Hackney Road in Tower Hamlets, providing 188 new homes for affordable rent, shared ownership and private sale.

The site has previously been praised on the team’s work with local employment initiatives and its exemplary environmental and carbon footprint reduction efforts.
