The Rydon Construction SW team on the Mangotsfield Primary School extension scheme in Bristol, led by site manager, Mike Casey, has scored 44 out of 50 points in its recent site audit by the Considerate Constructors Scheme.

What is particularly impressive is that the site had already scored 41 points on the CCS’s first visit only some four months earlier. But rather than rest on his laurels with such a good result, Michael worked with his team to do even better before the second visit in the beginning of June.

On four of the five key areas that the CCS evaluates, the site scored 9/10, or “Exceptional”, with the fifth scoring 8/10, still considered “Excellent” by the scheme.

The works on the scheme comprise the construction of a two storey extension of the existing school to provide a new hall and a seven classroom extension together with associated external works including a car park on the site opposite the school.  Work on site started in August 2014 and is due to complete this September.
