Bristol Grammar School’s stunning new Performing Arts Centre (PAC), delivered by Rydon’s South West team in Bristol, has been unveiled at its official opening event on Friday 11 November - welcoming students, staff and alumni as well as local dignitaries and several of the Rydon team involved in the project.

Rydon completed and handed over the PAC to improve and develop the School’s facilities for the Performing Arts. The new facility will also be available for use by the local Bristol community.

The PAC features a new build versatile auditorium with retractable seating for up to 387 audience members, refurbished recital hall, dance studio, drama studio, 10 practice rooms, 3 further class rooms, foyer, bar and box office.

During the event Paul Barber, Rydon’s South West Regional Director, delivered a speech on stage and handed a golden key to Headmaster Rod MacKinnon (pictured) to officially hand over the new building.

Guests were taken on a tour of the venue and the amazing performance spaces it offers. These were showcased by a series of virtuoso performances from BGS students. In the Theatre, the cast of Guys and Dolls lit up the stage with a performance of Sit Down You’re Rockin’ The Boat, which is being staged in February.
