As part of its continued strategic expansion in the south of England, Rydon Construction has opened a new office for its Southern region in Basingstoke.
Located in Chineham Business Park, it will support the company’s plans to help its clients deliver projects across the south coast, from Poole to Chichester and north along the M3 corridor, through Reading and up to Oxford.
The Basingstoke office and the recent appointment of Colin Silvey as Regional Director ensures Rydon has capabilities to deliver schemes anywhere in the south of England between its long-established South East Region and, more recently, the South West Region that Rydon expanded into in 2008.
Colin, who joined Rydon in October 2015, will be building and recruiting a local team as he seeks new opportunities in Rydon Construction’s core areas of expertise including housing, health, education and defence, across the public and private sectors.
Commenting on his plans, Colin said:
“This office is the next piece in the jigsaw for Rydon Construction’s continued expansion. It complements our existing operations and completes our coverage across the South of England, where we anticipate strong demand for quality building services from new and existing clients.
“Basingstoke is an ideal location, with good transport links and is positioned at the heart of this new region. Over the coming months I look forward to building a team of dedicated staff and creating a supply chain with local knowledge delivering benefits to the local economy and the communities we work in.”
