We are thrilled Packington’s regeneration has won BEST REGENERATION project at the 2019 National Housing Awards as well as securing a highly commended honour for BEST PARTNERSHIP.
The project, delivered in a partnership between Rydon and The Hyde Group, secured the coveted prizes at the ceremony held in London on 5th September.
It is the second time that Packington has won big at the National Housing Awards. In 2013 Packington previously won BEST REGENERATION as well as BEST LARGE DEVELOPMENT.
Winning again in 2019 confirms this project as a leading example of regeneration done well in partnership with the local community, as observed by David Lunts, GLA Executive Director of Housing and Land: “Packington Estate is a shining example of how we can all work together to get everything right, from resident involvement through to building design. In an ever-changing city, like London, it’s crucial that we continue to work in partnership to provide much needed, high quality housing.”
Long recognised as one of the foremost events in the housing calendar, the National Housing Awards provide a platform to promote and raise the profile of the affordable housing sector across England. It showcases innovation and good practice, highlighting the high standards of development offered to those in housing need.
