A Rydon Project manager has won a second quality award from the national organisation which raises the construction standards of new homes.

On Friday 7 September, Seamus McBride was at the NHBC’s award ceremony with the Packington site team collecting his Pride in the Job Award when he learnt that he had also secured the NHBC Seal of Excellence.

In doing so he is just one of 18 Seal of Excellence winners in London and the South East.

Pride in the Job is the only UK-wide competition dedicated to recognising site managers who achieve the highest standards in house-building. It has been instrumental in driving up the quality of new homes for 38 years.

Commenting on his award, Seamus said: “Throughout my career I have always wanted to be sitting at the table of the Pride in the Job Awards so this for me is a great achievement. The site team around me at Packington are very important and this award is a result of all the hard effort from everyone, I really appreciate all the help and support.”

Packington’s regeneration is replacing 538 structurally defective flats with 791 new mixed-tenure homes, a range of new community facilities and public open spaces. Find out more about the development here.
