Road Safety Week, taking place from 19 - 25 November this year, will highlight the dangers that exist on our roads and the simple steps we can take to reduce injury or more serious accidents.

The campaign is organised annually by safety charity Brake and is being supported by the Considerate Constructors Scheme, though which many of our sites are registered. Rydon is ensuring we support this important campaign for the benefit of the communities where we work as well as for our staff.

Rydon will also be placing the Ivor Goodsite Road Safety Week posters and promotional signs prominently on our site hoarding to encourage people to slow down around schools, homes and shops and help engage local people about road safety.

The main theme for 2012 is 'Slower speeds = happy people'. The campaign will highlight the benefits of reducing speed to 20mph in built-up areas as well as the importance of making it safer for people to walk and cycle in their own community.
