Rydon projects, the Packington Estate regeneration scheme and Nelson Local Care Centre, have been honoured by the Considerate Constructors Scheme at the 2015 National Site Awards.

The projects were picked from more than 9,000 sites across the UK for two Bronze awards at the ceremony held in London. The awards recognise high levels of commitment in improving the image of the construction industry.

Packington Estate was praised for its exceptionally well-run and presented site. The project’s work with The Prince’s Trust was commended for giving people opportunities from less fortunate backgrounds as well as its forward thinking approach to the environment.

Nelson Local Care Centre was recognised for its respect for the local community through engagement with local schools. The project was also commended for the way it valued its workforce through a range of development initiatives.

Mike Petter, Chairman of the Considerate Constructors Scheme, said: “It is our privilege to reward the efforts of all those involved in projects which set the bar in terms of considerate construction. We never fail to be impressed each year by the high levels of innovation and excellence evidenced throughout the industry.

“Each award-winning project serves as a shining example as to what can be achieved across a range of different sized projects and in all sectors of the industry.”
