The project consists of:
The regeneration of the existing estate, creating 214 affordable homes and 264 private for saleEight ‘satellite' sites throughout the Borough, producing a further 147 affordable and 191 private homes
Work has now been completed on 4 satellite sites, with 2 further sites completing in the summer providing 117 new homes in the Borough.
Extensive consultation with the residents was concluded by early 2005, leading to a planning application in the Spring.
The proposals gained an 82% approval rate from the residents, following design and strategy meetings between the partnership.
Detailed planning has now been achieved on the first phase of the main site and works have now commenced on the regeneration of the estate.
