Health & Safety
The Health & Safety Department is aligned under the Group Head of Health, Safety and Human Resources, providing the department with the independence that it requires whilst, at the same time, giving it greater support in the critical areas of induction and training.
The department provides advice on all aspects of safety related to our workplaces and operations; runs a comprehensive programme of training courses; conducts regular safety audits; reviews work-related accidents, and develops specific guidance on all H&S matters.
Health and Safety is taken very seriously at Rydon, and we recognise that best performance does require planning ahead, the cooperative effort of all concerned and the deployment of appropriate experience, expertise and resources. Each Group Company has an appointed director responsible for H&S, and these directors meet quarterly to review performance and champion best practice. In addition, the Group has a Safety Committee, made up of staff and management, which meets and reports on a six monthly basis.
