Sustainability and eco-awareness are vitally important to us and to many of our customers. Each home at Bourn Meadows is built to the EcoHomes ‘Very Good’ standard, so you‘ll have a range of features to help you live a greener life.
Your heating, lighting and appliances will be energy efficient; for example we are installing liquid petroleum gas-fired heating and ‘A’ or ‘A+’ rated kitchen appliances. Where possible the materials used in your home are from renewable sources and we have worked hard to cause minimal environmental disruption while building,in line with our Considerate Constructor status.
Aerated taps, water butts and dual-flush toilets will all help conserve water, and by providing facilities such as kitchen waste recycling containers, rotary clothes dryers and cycle stores, we’re making it easier to adopt eco-friendly ways of living.
Bourn Meadows also incorporates a wildlife corridor and new trees, all helping to create a natural, clean environment for every inhabitant.
