The new hospital was successfully completed in November 2006.

This exciting new Community Hospital project with a capital value of £29.3 million provides the New Forest Primary Care Trust with a state-of-the-art facility. It replaced the previous Lymington Hospital as well as the Lymington Infirmary.

With almost 12,000m² of accommodation, the new hospital is made up of three main elements:

  • A three storey ward building housing an emergency assessment ward, acute medical ward, short stay surgical ward, stroke unit, rehab and therapy unit.
  • A two storey entrance building incorporating a café, shop, administration offices and training centres.
  • A two storey diagnostic treatment centre to include specialist consultation, MIU, diagnostic imaging, medical day unit, day surgery and endoscopy.

Ryhurst, in association with OCS Healthcare and Rydon Property Maintenance Ltd, are providing a full range of support services to the new hospital for the next thirty years.
