Mendip Community Hospital

Mendip Community Hospital

The objective of this PFI project has been to replace two Victorian hospitals with one modern facility, providing facilities and services which have allowed Mendip Primary Care Trust to deliver the Government's objectives for modernised health services, underpinning the NHS Plan. The new hospital can expand the range of healthcare that has been available in the past locally with additional diagnostic and treatment services.

The facilities include a 37 bed inpatient facility with outpatients department, minor injuries/ diagnostics and other support services. The approximate floor area is 3742m².

The contract was signed on 21 October 2003 and the building went operational on 18 April 2005.
