This design and build scheme comprises 66 units within two 4-storey blocks, providing 39 sheltered flats for the elderly (CAT 2) and 27 flats for shared ownership.
The sheltered accommodation includes en-suite facilities and fully fitted kitchen and appliances, and a number of the flats were designed for wheelchair use. A lift was incorporated serving all floors. In addition, a large lounge, dining room and full catering facilities have been provided for the residents.
The shared ownership, aimed at first time buyers, also include en-suite facilities and comprise a mix of one and two bedrooms.
The site was a former West Berkshire County Council Highway Depot. All buildings were demolished and remediation works carried out in conjunction with our Consultants, Merebrook Projects, Social Environmental Health Department and Environment Agency approval.
