The Considerate Constructors Scheme is a national, non-profit and independent organisation set up by the construction industry in 1997 to improve its image. Construction sites and companies can register with the Scheme and are monitored against a Code of Considerate Practice, designed to encourage standards beyond statutory requirements.
Rydon’s long standing association with the scheme goes back many years of continuously improving our sites, ensuring we are at the forefront of sustainable development in our industry.
We were also the first registered company under the Scheme’s Company Registration – we proudly display the number 0001 on our vans.
Our commitment to the Scheme has seen many of our developments placed within amongst the top tier of considerate building sites in the country and, as a result, win many awards. We have also taken part in the annual Ivor Goodsite Hoarding Competition, working with children and schools in local communities.
Organisations can either have a Site Registration for projects that have duration of over six weeks or a Company Registration on any project for less than six weeks, which Rydon adheres to depending on the nature of its projects.
