As well as a refurbishment role, Rydon Maintenance delivers a responsive repair and maintenance service to 477 homes (including 101 leasehold units) on the Myatts Field North estate, Lambeth. This PFI contract commenced in May 2012 for a period of 25 years.
The RML role
In addition to responsive repair and void services, Rydon delivers pest control, lifecycle works and cyclical maintenance. Statutory compliance works are also included, with Rydon performing gas servicing, electrical testing of domestic properties and communal areas, fire risk assessments and regular inspection of play equipment.
Commitment to customer service is a key feature of this contract. Rydon’s call centre receives all calls directly from residents. Acting as the main switchboard for the project for all operational areas, Rydon also takes enquiries for housing management, heating and new build providers.
Rydon supports the development of sustainable communities. Through delivery of the Live Train initiative we have provided training and work experience to help long-term unemployed residents into work in the construction industry. Working in partnership with other service providers we have actively engaged local residents, holding fun days to bring the community together.
