Wiltshire County Council is working to deliver a series of Community Campuses that will provide a range of services tailored to local needs of the local community.

The services offered within a community campus depend on the requirements of the local area and can range from community and clinical space, leisure facilities, catering facilities and youth services alongside specialist services such as housing, revenues and benefits.

Rydon has successfully delivered two of the Community Campus developments awarded by Wiltshire County Council at the Five Rivers Leisure Centre in Salisbury and the Tisbury Leisure Centre.

Tisbury Community Campus

The new community campus facility at Tisbury involves a design and build contract, through a blend of refurbishment works to an existing school and a new build extension.

Known as the Nadder Community Campus, the scheme served communities throughout the Nadder Valley and will offer the following new facilities:
 

  • Larger sports hall and fitness suite
  • A library
  • Remodelled and updated main events hall
  • Facilities for training and business support
  • Facilities for the police
  • New pre-school accommodation
  • Children's centre
  • Meeting rooms
  • Activity spaces for young people
  • Renovation and improvement works to outdoor swimming pool
