Robert Bond

Robert Bond


Bob has over 40 years' experience in the construction, development and support services industry. He took up his current position as Group Chief Executive in January 2006 and also chairs Rydon’s Charitable Trust which makes regular donations to several good causes such as CRASH, a charity which assists homeless and hospice charities with construction related projects, with which Rydon has had a close association since 2013. Bob is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Building.

Nick Standen

Nick Standen


As Non-Executive Chairman, Nick provides experienced counsel and strategic advice to the Rydon Group Board. Nick has spent his entire career working in the mid-market corporate arena, in a range of market sectors, and brings over 25 years experience. Until 2013, he was a board and founding member of KPMG Corporate Finance, first joining KPMG in 1982. Nick co-founded Quercus, a leading corporate finance advisor, and is currently the firm’s Chairman. He holds a degree in Economics from Warwick University.

Mark Mitchener

Mark Mitchener


Mark joined Rydon as Construction Director in November 1999. He started his career as Planning Engineer at a contracting company, progressing over time through to construction management and onto the position of Construction Director at a major PLC developer. Mark has led the regeneration business stream at Rydon and has also led on a number of initiatives linked to sustainability and employment for young people. Mark was promoted to the position of Managing Director and joined the Group Board in October 2010.

Ben Irvine


Trained as a QS, Ben has over 30 years’ experience in the industry spanning new build, refurbishment and reactive maintenance with leading industry organisations. He has managed large-scale housing FM contracts including one for LB Barking & Dagenham, with a staff of over 250 serving 22,000 properties and profitably turning over £22m per annum. Ben joined Rydon in October 2014 as Director of Non-PFI Housing.

Warwick Barnes

Warwick Barnes


Warwick joined the land department at Rydon Homes in 1986 and gained experience purchasing residential development opportunities in the home counties and the Greater London Boroughs. He progressed through the Rydon management organisation within the land department and became Director of Current Land in 2007. Warwick was promoted to the position of Managing Director of Rydon Homes and joined the Group Board in May 2013.

Tony Wilkinson

Mark Day


Mark joined Rydon in February 2014 as Finance and Commercial Director for Rydon Maintenance and was promoted to Group Finance Director in October 2016. Initially working in construction with house builders Charles Church and Berkeley he also holds property maintenance experience with Serco. Mark has worked in the construction related sectors of lifts and escalators, as FD of Kone UK, and electronic security with Stanley Black & Decker as European Operations FD. Mark has an economics degree and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.

Andrew Goldman

Andrew Goldman


Prior to joining Rydon, Andrew had an extensive marketing career both in the UK and overseas, working primarily with large, multi-national technology businesses including IBM, Philips and Nokia.  For the past two and a half years he had been Managing Director of Cohn & Wolfe, part of WPP and a leading global public relations company, in Indonesia. His role at Rydon, embracing Marketing & Technology, aims to align these two important disciplines in helping to shape and deliver the Group strategic vision. Andrew has a BA in English & American Studies.  He joined Rydon and the Group Board in May 2016.

Aileen Ivanec

Aileen Ivanec


Aileen is Group Legal Director and leads the Legal & Insurance, and Safety Health & Environment departments. As an integral part of project commercial management, she and her team are actively involved in project funding and setting up public sector joint ventures, ensuring that projects meet all parties' requirements and are effectively delivered.  Aileen was appointed to the board in October 2011. Aileen has an LLB Hons and qualified as a solicitor in 1997.

Aileen Ivanec

Lisa Fitzsimons


Lisa was appointed as Group Human Resources Director in February 2016 and brings a wealth of senior level experience to the Board. Before joining Rydon, Lisa was a board member of UPP Group and has also been a member of the executive team at Wates Construction. She has spent more than 15 years working across a variety of sectors including construction, logistics, manufacturing and retail and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.
