Managing Director

Jeff has worked in the industry since 1978 and has been at Rydon since 1984. He has an in-depth and practical understanding across all of our activities, having worked through all site disciplines and subsequently senior management positions. He has considerable experience of refurbishment works, both occupied and vacant, across the housing, health and education sectors, allied to an in depth knowledge of responsive repairs, particularly in the Health and Housing sectors. Jeff is a Fellow of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors. Jeff was promoted to Managing Director in October 2010.

Barrie joined Rydon Maintenance in August 2006 to manage the Healthcare business. He joined us with a wealth of experience built up in the maintenance industry over the past 30 years. He started his career as an electrician and has diversified along the way and worked in most disciplines associated with hard facilities management.

Stephen Blake  

Stephen Blake

Refurbishment Director

Steve joined Rydon in 1985 as one of the Company's first ever management trainees and throughout his career development has gathered experience in a broad range of construction-related disciplines. Prior to transferring to Maintenance in 2009, Steve spent over 10 years with Construction as a Contracts Manager delivering a variety of projects including traditionally built low rise social housing, multi-storey timber and concrete framed buildings and the refurbishment of several high rise tower blocks with residents in occupation. In addition to site management he is also responsible for resident liaison. Steve was appointed to the Maintenance Board in October 2010.

Laurence Rudman

Laurence Rudman

Partnership Performance Director

Laurence's career spans 40 years and includes commercial and project management of major D&B and PFI projects. After periods in senior positions within Alfred McAlpine Construction and Balfour Beatty Construction he joined Rydon in December 2000 to focus on major regeneration and social housing PFI schemes. Following a spell heading up Rydon's Business Development team he transferred to Ryhurst to deliver two LIFT projects and was promoted to the Ryhurst Board in April 2007. In June 2012 he was appointed to the Maintenance Board of Directors where he focuses on customer excellence and developing and maintaining relationships with our clients. Laurence has been a member of the Chartered Institute of Building for over 25 years.

Jeff Henton

Ben Irvine

Housing Director

Trained as a QS, Ben has over 30 years’ experience in the industry spanning new build, refurbishment and reactive maintenance with leading industry organisations. He has managed large-scale housing FM contracts including one for LB Barking & Dagenham, with a staff of over 250 serving 22,000 properties and profitably turning over £22m per annum. Ben joined Rydon in October 2014 as Director of Non-PFI Housing.
