Design & Build

This new Performing Arts Centre for Bristol Grammar School was carefully designed to improve and develop the School’s facilities for the Performing Arts.

Featuring a new, large auditorium, dance studio, rehearsal rooms and recording studios, it links into the School’s Elton Road Block where Rydon has refurbished the existing Mackay Theatre.

The new facility was created in the midst of the school campus with limited access and the build was carefully scheduled around the school terms to cause minimum disturbance.

The building is finished in distinctive bronze & copper cladding.

Dance, drama and music already form an important part of the curriculum at Bristol Grammar School. The new Performing Arts Centre, including the auditorium, offers further development opportunities and a new venue to deliver high quality productions.
