Rydon was appointed by the international supermarket and wholesale group, Lidl, to construct a new mixed use development in Woodley, Reading.
The scheme comprised a 1,100m² Lidl store on the ground floor, 1,300m² GP Surgery on the first floor and 13 flats for private sale on the second floor.
The scheme had an overall construction period of 54 weeks, allowing for early sectional completion dates for both the Lidl store and the GP Surgery. The team on the project had to carry out the work in a sensitive manner in that it was a confined site on Woodley High Street.
