Wiltshire County Council is working to deliver a series of Community Campuses that will provide a range of services tailored to local needs of the local community.

The Vale Health &Wellbeing Centre in Pewsey is the third contract Rydon completed for Wiltshire Council as part of its £80m programme to deliver health and wellbeing centres across the county. Two other schemes have been successfully delivered in Salisbury and Tisbury.

Located on the current leisure centre site, Pewsey’s new Health & Wellbeing Centre provides a range of facilities for the local community including a large fitness suite, a new four-lane 25-metre pool, a multi-purpose room available for community bookings and group exercise classes and a meeting room space for community groups and local events.

These facilities complement the existing multi-use games area and the development also incorporates space for an indoor skate park where people can skateboard, scoot and BMX.

The services offered within a community campus depend on the requirements of the local area and can range from community and clinical space, leisure facilities, catering facilities and youth services alongside specialist services such as housing, revenues and benefits.
